"After trolling with the motor, then accelerating, the motor runs very rough, runs slow,then shutting it off and restarting, it runs perfect. I was told there is a system on the engine called S.L.O.W. which prevents the motor from running fast if a sensor detects a problem. Shutting it off and restarting resets the S.L.O.W. system.Any idea of the cause? The motor has very few hours on it.

" I retired a number of years before that engine came into existence, and unfortunately do not have the book on it, however, the S.L.O.W. feature, if your engine has it, knocks out a portion of the ignition if the engine overheats. Frankly, I doubt that your engine incorporates this feature. "
