2000 Johnson 225 Ocean Pro Tilt/Trim Issue

Hello... I have a 2000 Johnson 225 Ocean Pro, and I am having a tilt/trim issue.. The tilt works fine going down from both the throttle and the engine controls, the up was working intermittently and now has stopped working, I have replaced the replays but that did not resolve the issue.. I am pretty sure the issue is not with the motor because tonight I pulled out the replay assembly and I ran +12V directly to the blue (up) wire on the relay holder and the motor tilted up, however, still to joy for it going up with the switches... Any help that anyone can offer I would greatly appreciate it!

Can you hear the relay click when you push the switch? If yes try cleaning the wires at the junction just below the relay box; they get corroded sometimes and don't make good contact; hope that works.
 
Hello Will.. Thank you for the reply, No There is not any clicking on the up relay as I press either button.. that is what threw me through the loop... But when I remove the replay and go 12v to the blue wire it will tilt up..
 
No clicking tells you that you have a break in the power line from the relay to the buttons trace that positive line and see if you can find a break; also, clean the ground wire connections that pertain to that relay. Good luck
