2000 Johnson 175 replace optical sensor

I'm replacing the optical sensor on a 2000 johnson 175, is the bolt on the timing wheel left or right hand threads, and will the timing change when I replace it? Thanks

Right hand threads and you should check the timing after replacing the sensor.

It was the optical sensor... runs great....
