" I have a 2000 Ficht 200 HP. It finally runs greats after the yearly maintenance / tune-up. When I put it in gear, idle is about 600 rpm. When I throttle up to wake speed at 1000 rpm, the motor walks that fine line between idle and dropping the hammer. Tap the throttle a hair over a grand and hold on to your hat. Is this phenomenon attributed to the throttle linkage / throw or just engine design. My goal would be to have a smooth throttle up from 1000 to 3000 rpm that I can control, not the 1000 instantly to 3000 rpm acceleration. "
