2000 Evinrude 15 hp four stroke won't start

We were trolling on Sunday for several hours when the kicker started to falter, I bumped the throttle up a bit and it cleared somewhat but quickly faltered again then stalled. Checked the fuel bulb which had no pressure. Tried pumping it up but had to undo the connector and bleed the line a little but was able to get it pumped up again. Motor restarted and ran well for a minute then faltered and stalled again... So, I'm thinking fuel issue. When I got home I drained the fuel form the carb and ran the fuel line to a fresh can of gas. Motor won't start. I pulled the plugs and checked for spark, found no spark... Would have bet money that it was a simple fuel issue but now I'm stumped... You're suggestions? Thanks in advance.
