Have a 2000 Calabria with a 350 Mercruiser Mag MTI inboard ski boat. It runs great after starting up, logging an hour or so towing wakeboarders and barefoot skiers. After running for a while, when shut off, it won't start up. Live in the desert, so running conditions are sometimes in the 100's temp. It seems like it's flooded, but not sure. The problem is intermittent, and seems to happen later in the day, after a few sessions on the lake. It has multi-port injection. Hoping to avoid a costly trip to the boat mechanic. thanks for any help you can give!

The problem may be fuel/heat related; do you run the blower continously? If your boat has side air inlets there may be an extra hose opening on the air collector duct that is blocked off. If it is then open it and attach another air hose to it and hang it in front of the throttle body flame arrestor. Run the blower continously.

If the blower is a 3" change it to a 4" which will require changing the exhaust hoses and air exhaust duct.

thanks for the info, I'll check the blower for sure. It's a buddies boat and not sure if he's running the blower constantly, and check the diameter of hoses. hopefully going barefooting this friday, so would be good to have confidence that we won't get stranded.
