2000 99 4 stroke wont run

"Hello all,
Trying to read all I can to diagnose my problem but its not working. I just bought a 2000 evinrude 9.9 4 stroke as a kicker motor and had everything gone through, serviced and installed at a local marina. Got the boat out for the first time and ran the kicker and ran very good for 30-45 minutes. started out a little cold blooded but then no issues. after 30-45 minutes just cuts out, no warning or sputtering just shuts off. Would not restart. Took the boat home and tried firing and would not start. Next day started right up and ran for a minute fine and then just quit. Read alot last night and went and tried starting today and started right up and ran for 10 seconds and quite. The motor turns over fine just wont start. took spark plugs out and found no spark today, seems strange that it will start if its been sitting overnight but no spark after its been running. ive read to disconnect the red harness but im not sure what the red harness is as everything is electrical tape. I would like to narrow it down without taking it back to the marina. Any suggestions, please help."

"Thank you Morten, have you seen this before, the symtoms I have? Anybody else with some troubleshooting I might be able to do before I go out and have to purchase a new power-pack. What does a power pack run for my motor and any special tools to install?"
 
"I've had several of them

"I've had several of them myself, all had to change power-packs! Easy to change, but a bit expensive.
Don't know the price in Your area, and I do not think they are available at this site.
A good and reliable engine to my experience, main weakness was impeller change every year and this power-pack problem."

Where is the red harness as ev

Where is the red harness as everything has electrical tape. Where would it hook up to on the engine.
