Had to replace the regulator (mine melted, maybe due to corrosion on one of the wires) and the new regulator came with a separate new wiring harness. The one on the boat is in pristine condition, and I was contemplating not replacing it. I was wondering why they would make you buy the wiring harness with the regulator? Also, should I replace the harness?
