So, just did a swap, turned my tiller into a dash console. Swapped my old evinrude tiller for a 2000 mariner 50hp 4 stroke. Commander 2000 style remote. Everything was great testing in the driveway, smooth shift, throttle and shifter adjusted well, but when I took it out for the test run it after a while it runs in neutral at really high rpm... don't have a tach yet. But ended up having to turn the motor off and restart to shift into drive before it revved up. The only thing I can think is the fast idle control in the remote is getting stuck... any thoughts?
