2000 5.7 L Gm Fuel Issue.

I got a 5.7 Gm in my 2000 glastron. It is a dual Port fuel injection. When i was on the lake the other day it was running fine. I shut it off and when i went to start it back up it wouldnt start. I then noticed the fuel pump was not pumping when i turned the key on. I hot wired the fuel pump it does work. I replaced the relays that sit next to the throttle body and all the fuses are good. the issue is there is no power coming to the relay to power the pump. Anybody got any Ideas?

Thanks

Re: 2000 5.7 Gm Fuel Issue.

Trace the 12 volt wiring from the fuel pump along the wire loom. A few boaters have found corrosion at a junction.

Re: 2000 5.7 Gm Fuel Issue.

I checked for the corrision and have cleaned all the connections as far as the oil pressure switch goes i have no idea. But if it is that could be the issue. If it helps at all with the diagnosis this boat was wrecked when i get it and was swamped out.

check the ignition switch use a voltmeter ,also see if its a broken wire ..measure coil feed with key on ...see if its low voltage ..

jump 12volts to coil of fuel relay , see if pump runs.

with a meter you should track down the open circuit/fuse etc,,,

normally coil feed is one fuse , fuel pump contacts another fuse.

swamped out in saltwater ? Been thru this. You got 2 fuel pumps Correct. For testing you could bypass everything and run a wire straight to the pumps from the battery.

See if it runs.

Cat you and i are on the same page on this one.
