We have a 40hp jet that we have been taking to the river for the past couple of years. Last few trips motor will plane out and run for mile or so and then start seriously bogging down and cutting out. Fuel tank has no filter and fuel line working properly. After switching motor off for a few minutes we are able to start up and travel another mile or so with no problems and then cutting out begins again. Any ideas what to check?
