Hi all,
New to the site, considering buying an old 23 SeaCraft with a model year 2000 5.7 L Sea Maxx (PCM) 310 hp, electronic fuel injected, fresh water cooled, straight inboard. It's a leftover from factory and installed this year. I dont know much about the PCM engine, so I'm just looking for as much info as possible. Much of this has been provide3d to my by the seller, but I'm looking for additional insights on the following:
-performance numbers to be expected
-fuel burn to be expected at cruise and WOT
-typical issues with these motors - how reliable are they?
-maintenance - aside from regular fluid and filter changes, anything in particular that extends life and improves performance/reliability
Any advice/insught is greatly appreciated.
On another note, I'm looking for a trailer for this rig - please let me know if anyone knows of a decent, inexpensive dual axle bunk trailer that will take a 23 straight IB in the NY/NE area.
Thanks guys,
Mike
