2000 25hp SS Johnson tiller?????

Ok guys I'm at the end of my rope with this new to me motor. First off the motor had a oil injection system that I removed and the only wires I unhooked was to the oil jug and there was three wires and was wandering if any of those needed to be connected to over ride the S L O W mode? The motor runs like new for about 4 minutes then it just shuts down. Thanks for any help

PS I'v had it in a shop for a compression test and all is good and they recommended me taking off the injection system because it smoked so bad. Now I'm mixing the oil @ 50 to 1.

When the motor shuts down, check your spark. It should jump a 7/16" open air gap on a tester.

Correct that oil injection system belongs in the garbage.

Yep that's where its at. Anyone know if the wires from the oil jug need to be connected?

No those wires are only to alarm when oil tank was near empty.

Thanks for the info. The motor still goes into slow mode and I can't figure it out.

Could that motor be "looking" for some type of signal from the oil injection system, and thus with it removed go to Slow Mode by default?
