" on the motor ID plate it calls for a 8L78YC plug, but no one has that number. I have a QL78YC in the engine now, is this the correct plug? engine takes 10 minutes to warm up before you can go from idle to giving it a little gas without it dying. full throttle runs great. "

QL78YC is the correct plug. S

QL78YC is the correct plug. Sounds like your linkage adjustment may be slightly out. Carbs opening a little too soon.
