2000 150hp johnson

I am considering buying a 2000 150 johnson is there any history of issues with this particular engine. I really dont know the history of the engine but my mechanic said the compression is good and it runs really well.

Buy it! Great engine. I own the same.

The only possible issue is that it was produced shortly before the OMC bankruptcy. Quality control slipped a bit around that time. Almost all the issues centered around the Ficht DFI technology. The Johnson's were largely immune. If there were QC gremlins, they have likely been exercised by now.
