200 johnson v6 air baffle inside cowl

If available I would replace it less time than jury rigging not horribly priced and you get the right part. If you feel you can make something like that go for it. JMO

My concern is it's function... is it cooling the system? Is it keeping water from entering the top and going down onto the cylinders?

If it's function isn't all that important I can very simply jerry rig it...

The part is less than 100 bucks BUT the latch mech and the plate that glues to the inside is no longer available...

I am going to have to find a whole new cowl which even on ebay is a couple hundred bucks.

As always thanx in advance

It's to keep water out. Ty ebay maybe the parts are around. Or find outboard salvage yards find a smashed hood that you can get the parts off of

Went to 2 boat yards today... one confirmed to keep out water... the other said to direct air flow to the cylinders LOL

nothing on ebay but whole hoods

think I'm going the jerry-rig route

Thanx everyone!
