i got knocking sound on decel

i got knocking sound on deceleration can i be detonation or pinkage because the motor run to hot

"Pascal.... I haven't answ

"Pascal.... I haven't answered before this as I don't have the answer as to why a engine would knock upon deceleration.

I could only advise you to remove the spark plugs, then insert some kind of tool into the cylinder so that it gently touches the piston(s), then turn the flywheel by hand in the normal running rotation until the piston reaches TDC and then is pulled down approximately 1" to 2".

At that point, grip the flywheel tightly and apply pressure to whatever tool you have resting on top of the piston. If you can move that particular piston downwards without moving the flywheel... there would have to be damage and unwanted clearance to either a wrist pin bearing, the portion of the piston that retains the wrist pin, a connecting rod to crankshaft bearing, something would need to be worn and failing.

Other than this, without actually being there at the engine, I would have no idea what is causing that knock, unless someone has been playing around with the timing.
