"Can't believe my luck monday a guy gave me a 14 ft v-hull on the trailer with a 20 hp johnson and trolling motor the 20 looks like it has been professionally rebuilt recently, though the hull needs some work it looks like someone panited it with house paint ( really ) and there are a few places it looks like it needs some fiberglass work, I'll know when i get it sanded and cleaned how much work that will need, worst case is I got a 20 hp motor a trolling motor and a trailer which will fit my small jon boat even if the hull is a wash and I have to find one. of course there are a lot of those on craigslist that people just want to get rid of or sell cheap. so, anybody know about these motors? this is a 1971 model 20R71s 20 hp even though the cowel says sportser electric 25 the model shows it to be a 20hp and not a 25hp any input about these would be great fuel/oil ratio and the like.
