"I was given these two evinrude outboards but don't see any model numbers on the entire engine. One is a fisherman (older looking one) and the other is a sportwin. Anyone have an idea?

your sportwin looks just like one i have which is a 1964 model 9422R except for the shift arm which is slightly different yours could be a 9423

The model numbers should be on a small plate which is attached to the port (left) transom bracket. Are they there?

As Joe said, if you search hard enough you should be able to the transom bracket.
