Took the boat out this past weekend and ran into some problems. After fishing 1/2 mile away from the dock, I go to start my motor and shift the throttle lever to go but the motor would not go at all. Shifts forward and reverse fine but would not go and the motor would just shut off. Start up the motor again, put it in forward and the boat would just shut off. When that happened, I did noticed that the shifter was going forward and reverse a lot easier than it normally did. Funny it did that as my day was ending because it ran great all day. Are my shifter and throttle cables bad? I have a quicksilver 3000 shifter/throttle lever. Have anyone had this problem before?
