Good evening, Late last Summer we took the boat out to a reef in the keys. After being out there with the boat off for a couple of hours, we had a difficult time starting it and keeping it running ( it seemed like it wasn’t staying primed ). We were using an external tank that’s maybe 5 years old. When we finally got it to stay running … it seemed to be running / however it wasn’t as good as it usually does. Later that evening we took it back out again….it totally seemed fine. We have not had a chance to take it out since then - we do however run some non ethanol in it monthly .. just to keep it being ran a bit.
Any ideas what may have caused the incident at the reef? I’m thinking maybe fuel line/ fuel line connectors / fuel pump.
I plan to take it out tomorrow - just out on the intracoastal. Will see if it has issues again.
