1999 johnson 70 hp carb question siphon tubes split ?

Hi i have a 1999 johnson 70 hp i just bought that has been setting for about 3 years i was rebuilding the carbs and noticed splits on the brass sipon tubes in the bottom of the carb is this freeze cracks or are they made from rolled brass ? please help

Yes the emulsion tubes are made from brass.. I have soldered them in the past. Worked fine afterwords.
