1999 - Johnson 150HP Won't Start

I have a 1999 Johnson 150hp that will turn over but not start. It happened a couple of weeks ago and the dealer said the battery was low. We ran it yesterday with no issues. Today it started and ran for about 5 minutes then shut off and would not start again. I am familiar with boats that have engines with carbs but not these 2 strokes. Any help would be appreciated.

Will the spark jump a 7/16 " open air gap on a spark tester ??

What's the condition of your battery when engine shuts off, Is there enough juice in it to crank the motor 200-300 rpm to enable stator to provide ignition. Does it crank but not start after it ran for 5 minutes? A little more history on your engine might help. First time out on water? Old fuel in tank? Any maintenance done lately? Filters changed? water/fuel separator changed? Is she running hotter than normal?
