I bought this boat about a month ago and it was running fine until i took it out last week and hit a big wake. Turns out the fuel pickup stem snapped in the the tank. so replaced the pickup, installed an anti-syphon valve (there was not one previously, just a barbed fitting.) tried running it but is wasn't running right to i opened the cowling i noticed that the vacuum switch was pissing gas. So i disconnected it and plugged the line and it still wasn't running right so i took of the anti-syphon valve and relaced it with a barbed fitting (like it had before), installed an inline fuel filter, replaced hose from the tank to the primer ball, and replaced the primer ball, and replaced the vacuum switch (expensive for that tiny sensor). Now the motor is doing all sorts of weird things. sputtering at idle and stalling randomly, Check engine light at 4000 rpm, "no oil" alarm that randomly comes on for a couple seconds (there is oil in the reservoir), and most recently oil has pouring out right behind the prop when trimmed all the was down. I'm at a loss, I'm not sure where to start. My buddy thinks it could be the VRO but i don't want drop $800 on that and it not be the problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
