Boat has been in storage for 2 years, Drained fuel tank and added new gas, Engine will turn over and start for 1 second but will not run.

Engine ran fine when stored.

Any suggestions?

drain the carbs. Mine were filled with two-stroke oil. Drained/filled a couple of times. Motor started and ran good after that.

There is a high pressure fuel pump inside the VST. They lock up with no use.

Loosen the banjo fitting at the top of the fuel rail, turn key on....fuel should shoot out. You should also hear the fuel pump run for 10 seconds at key on time.

I have a solution for you if it turns out to be the HP fuel pump is seized up.

There should be 40 psi of fuel pressure in the fuel rail when running.
Most ppl do not have a way to attach a pressure gauge. If you can do it, get a gauge on it at the fuel rail.
I use an old banjo fitting on the TOP of the fuel rail and attach my gauge there.

Absent a fuel gauge, listen for fuel pump, loosen the top plug nut on the fuel rail, watch for fuel spray....about all you can do.

Here is a possibility.....I would definitely try it. If you find that the fuel pump is locked up, and if you find that the proper electrical power is being supplied by the EMM, then you can try this: Disconnect the HP fuel pump electrical connector, and apply 24v to the fuel pump by rigging a wiring connection directly to the HP pump at the connector you just disconnected. Apply 24v from 2 batteries in series, JUST MOMENTARILY. Maybe 24v will jolt the fuel pump and get it running.

JUST MOMENTARILY.....If it is locked up, it is bad anyway...and you might just jolt it free.

I order a Factory issued Service Manual and Hopefully it will be in soon, I will try what you are telling and the manual will tell me where the items you are referencing are located..

Thanks for the advise and I will let you know how it works out.

Thanks Again

Rather than the 24 volt to the connector, I just reversed the incoming 12 volts to it and it would break the mtr free.

Thanks I will try, I’m still waiting on Factory service manual so I don’t connect to the wrong thing.

please keep suggesting coming and one I have manual an will start process of elimination.

thanks again
