So the old girl has spots where the paint has blistered off and raw metal is showing corrosion.
Any advice as how to fix ?

Attach one of those coarse com

Attach one of those coarse composite wheels to a drill and have at the blister. I stripped most of my paint off the casing with chemical paste. If your case is constructed of aluminum you will need a minimum of a zinc rich paint (not cold galvanizing) to paint with. A zinc chromate primer is best to start available at West Marine.
It's $16.00 for a spray can. I am going to finish with a product called Hammerite but there are other good choices you can make once primed.
