1999 5.8HO-fuel puzzle

 I have a 1999, 450 hour TT, 5.8HO engine that has recently developed a perplexing problem. After operation at temperature, and the engine is shut down and sits for 30+ minutes, it will not refire with any reliability.
Now, here is the run down on what HAS been done: new fuel filter in FCC, both fuel pumps checked for consistent operation, fuel pressure is at 38psi( right in spec), lines are good, pickup in tank is good, tank itself has no trash or water either. There are no fuel leaks. It has all of the makings of vapor lock, but that is what the FCC was designed to elminate, and beside this problem did not start until recently. I can usually prevent the issue by bleeding the shcrader valves at the FCC and the fuel rail- where there is air sometimes!
The engine performs flawlessly, and makes good power! This is only an issue when hot as outlined above. If someone out there has knowledgable experience here, I will be indebted.
