I just purchase a 1998 Wellcraft Excel 21SL with the Volvo Penta 5.0GL/SX
in looking at the original material there are two asterisks next to this engine
choice with says ** High Altitude
In earlier years the boat was offered with the VP 5.0GL/SX but not footnoted
this way
What are the differences in this engine for high altitude (jetting.....ratios....prop)
and what would the effect be running it at sea level.
I know taking a boat built for sea level up in altitude means a loss of HP and
therefore sometimes see a change in jetting, gearing and props...to compensate but know nothing
of the reverse
Many thanks
Bob
