"Have 1998 Mercury 150 EFI tha

"Have 1998 Mercury 150 EFI that recently had one of two voltage regulators go bad. Replaced bad one and tried to run. Engine now has troble idling. What could be the problem. It was suggested that their could have been a spike created when the regulator went bad and it may have caused a problem with the ECM? What should I look for?

check output of stator blue and blue white going to switch boxes with dva meter. if DDT
available (digital diagnststic tool) check fuel pump voltage and mode should be in low mode pulling 2.5-3.5 amps
