How to fix power trim that won't go down?

Check the solenoids/relays

they are tough to get to and I can't get them apart pressing the tab on it but it won't budge any ideas, don't want to brake any wires. Thanks for the reply.

Well you have to get to them to do the tests.

Do the solenoids "click" when you press the button to go up/down?

Since they are movable contact electric circuits yes they click.....whether or not you can detect the click is the question. Simple solution is to swap relays and see if the problem moves to the "won't go up" problem. If buying new, I'd replace both while you are at it however since the load on the contacts (current) is higher to "lift" a load rather than allow a load to "drop" you probably will get by with changing just the lift relay.

Looking at videos they have to come apart and I can't get them apart, no room to get a good grip on them. I moved all I could out of the way but they won't budge. I could try to switch them, just no room to work. Thanks for the replies.
