1998 Johnson spl50 j50eslecc no spark/fire

I have a 1998 Johnson spl 50 that has just quit firing. I disconnected black/yellow wire at switch but no change. Lanyard kill has not worked in 4 years but no fire problem. How can you test the power pack, coil, rectifyer, and stator before i begin to purchase any parts. Were is the kill switch wire on the engine that can be disconected as well to test to see if chaffed wire.
