1998 Johnson 115 quick start question to you...

Is the quick start function build in to the power box or is there a separate part on the motor who activate the quick start funktion on/off ?

The quickstart feature is set within the powerpack in constant activity (high idle) and deactivated by a temperature change of the powerhead via the two wire heat sensor which is installed in the port cylinder head.

Thanks for your answer, so if the motor dont leave the quickstart mode it is the heat sensor who need to be replaced.....

Before replacing sensor test it first

Shorting the sensor wire to ground should cause the quickstart feature to disengage. If it does not, replace the sensor.

There is two wire on the sensor, witch one of them to ground ?
Do i ground it while the sensor is conected to the powerpack and all wire are where they normaly are conected ?
Hope you understand norwegian/english......

Disconnect the black/white wire from the sensor and ground out the wire coming from the pack when mtr is running.
