1998 Evinrude 88 won't start after running for a while

I am a novice at repairing boat motors but I have a 1998 Evinrude 88. When I first start the motor for the day it cranks and fires perfectly can run motor forth however long I want to, but when I cut motor off and go back to restart it will crank but not fire. If it sets for a while (at least 2hrs) it will crank and fire again. Again I am not a great mechanics just wanted to ask here first before I dropped a bunch of money for a mechanic. Thanks in advance for any help

I would start by checking the spark when it woun't start, sometimes an ignition componet will malfunction when it gets warm and then work prooperly when it cools down, a place to start.
