I am looking to purchase a 1998 Evinrude 115. The model # is:

E115SXECM Can anyone tell me anything about what this model # means?

This motor appears to be a leftover motor. Anyone tell me the value (still in box)

Is this engine a FICHT?

Any other information is appreciated.

This motor was bought by a gu

This motor was bought by a guy building a boat. He has given up on the boat. The motor is still in the box.

What can I assume about warranty. Would it still be under warranty?

"Timg.... New engine warranty usually is limited to one (1) year unless the buyer purchases "extended warranty". The warranty can be transfered but it must be done with the manufacturers consent. Warranty would begin on the date of purchase.
