1998 Evenrude150 HP Ocean Pro Trim Tab

What is the purpose of the trim tab on my 150 HP Evenrude and how should it be set up ? I think that is what it is called, that rudder looking piece that is downstream of the prop.

that is actually a sacrificial annoid /steer compensator . it helps to correct any "pull" during higher speeds. replace if severely corroded .
