1998 90 hp evinrude waterpump issue

Hi all
I just put new lower end seals and a water pump rebuild kit. When I put the muffs on and fire up the motor I get water coming out of places it shouldn’t. I took the lower unit off and ran water through the muffs I don’t see any leaks. I am baffled. The only thing I can come up with is the seal isn’t sealing around the copper tube up to the motor. I am getting water out of the motor as it should.

If you post a video folks might tell you that it is normal for water to leak everywhere.

Thank You, I just never had this happen before when I have started it up at the beginning of the season. at least not that I noticed.
