Getting ready to replace the Manifold and riser on my 1998 454xLi.
Question is, do I need to burp the cooling system?
The raw water goes through the system starting with the water pump, then winds though the trans Oil cooler,
Heat Exchanger, Exhaust riser then out the door.
The rest of the motor is anti-freeze, including the manifolds.
There is a metal plate between the manifold and riser separating the anti-freeze in the manifold and raw water
in the exhaust riser.
If I install the manifold and riser with the metal plate, will there not be a air pocket stuck between
the manifold and riser?
