I have skip at 1800 rpm and below hard to keep running until heat up.Runs great at 1800 rpms and up no skip. Can someone help me with this?

HAHAHAA.......

I bet some good ole boy told ya that right?

WRONG!!!!!!!

All motors need to be enriched when cold even EFI.........nature of the beast.

Otherwise you need to let it warm up enough and it will be fine...........OH you already did that part!!!

NEVER ditch any parts from a boat because "someone" says you dont need them........

Best find it and reinstall it.........

Two things cumbustion engines need to start, (asuming ignition is working and compression is good)...Timing to ignite the spark a bit early and fuel, most times lots of fuel when cold. Also keep the engine rpms between 1500 and 2000 rpms for the first 30 to 60 seconds..........

I did not take any part off just move coke clockwise to keep open.Do you think the spark plugs will fix the problem?

When the engine is cold, activate the throttle lever or the carbs throttle shaft, the choke should close.

when you start cranking it the choke pull off should pull it open about 1/8 inch to allow air in. this is a starting point....best look at a manual for setting the choke, do a google search for that.

the fact that it runs good when warn and it runs bad when cold says not enough fuel.

Once warmed all the way up then maybe try adjusting the air fuel screws, at idle in neutral with a idle rpm of about 650 rpms, turn them in one at a time until motor starts to loose a little rpms then turn out until it smooths out, done.
