I guy's i have a 1997 crui
I guy's i have a 1997 cruiser yachts w/ twin 5.7 alpha drives. Boat sat for about 6 months on the lift. Came back and went for a ride and the starboard motor runs fine and then dies out. When it wouldn't start i checked the coil and had no spark. It is electronic (no points under cap). All of the sudden their was spark and the motor started. Then on the way home running about 3200 RPM the motor died but dieseled ( you could smell the fuel right away)as i returned the throttle to idle and than began to run again. Did this 2 more times. The next time i took it out it did this same thing about 20 times. A couple of times it died out but restarted within seconds.Any ideas?
