Hey everyone,
I have an 1997 Johnson 130. Idles beautifully. When I rev past 2500 the throttle takes off to full throttle even though butterflies do not move more open and linkage stays the same. I noticed as it does that I get some fire out of the carbs. Is it doing this because it is running too lean? I noticed a small fuel leak from the red lever on the primer when you move it. Could it be the primer? I have deleted the VRO and have a fuel pump. It will idle for days no issue. I also noticed when I start to rev up it bounces all over and the tac will go to 2 back to 1 etc... But once I pass 2500 she takes off on her own. Any ideas for help on this is much appreciated. It has a new powerpack as well because before new power pack it would rev limit and shake at 3k. I also noticed the primer bulb can still be pumped and looses hardness but again doesn't seem like its starving for fuel.....
Thanks
