Boat sinking, hole in shift bellows. What is method to change? Can shift cable be removed from helmet end? or does it have to be removed from engine end? Thanks

Both, disassemble the inside , plastic sleeve, guide tube. Remove the drive, remove the cable core , using a solid core from a control cable (available at most shops for free) insert wire thru cable to act as a guide, remove the cable nut, pull out from the rearof gimbal , and pull out from the drive leaving core in place.
R/R shift boot, insert solid core thru shift cable outer casing , hold solid core with vise grips, pull core and cable back thru boat , remove core, insert cable sheath into gimbal and tighten nut, insert shift cable flexible core, resassemble shift cable inside boat , check the adjustments with the Bravo tool
