1997 60hp Johnson no start

Hi hope to get a little info and pointed in right direction. My motor was last used in April it ran fine. Tried to crank in July and would not start no fire to spark plugs, I disconnected kill switch wire and still no fire. Will power pack, stator or trigger go bad while not using boat? Any help will really be appreciated

Have to ask ---How did you test for spark ?--------Proper tester or plugs laying on the block in daylight ?

Checked with spark plug tester that you hook to plug and plug wire

If battery and starter motor crank slow there will be no spark.------------Charge battery first as a possible no money spent fix.

OK I will charge battery and see what happens

Take the battery in to a parts house and have it load tested. Only way to go.
