1997 J175exeue, Johnson, motor would not stay running yesterday. run the motor up the river everything was fine, stopped for about one hour went to run back down the river, motor would crank up and run at idle, but when I would put it in gear, motor would run for a short while, then die. checked fuel bulb, it was soft, pumped up bulb motor would run until it ran out of fuel. we had to hand pump it al the way back down the river. changed to 6 gal remote tank, pumped up the bulb and it would still run out of gas. does this sound like the vro2 to you? what kind of checks can I do, I don't think it's the fuel from the tanks because I used two tanks and two fuel line.
