1996 Regal Rush

That is a FORCE engine.-----Charge the battery and load test the battery.-------Check choke / enriching unit.----And before you spend money on it post the compression values.

There are bigger V-6 jet boats that have MERCURY outboard powerheads.----Why the question ?
I just bought a 1995 Regal Rush XP jet boat without a motor. I happened across this post which suggests they have a Force motor. I have been able to find a Force 120 outboard and was wondering if it would fit the Mercury jet unit or if it had to be a Mercury motor.

Well----The 120 outboard may have a different spline in bottom of crankshaft then what the 120 jet motor has.----Any pictures of this Regal Rush?

Even if it fit you would have to find the correct exhaust manifold.----Coverting the boat to mount an outboard on the transom is an option.-----Or find another Regal to get a proper motor.-----These boats were all the rage 30 years ago for 4 or 5 years.----Most are junk today.

I don't have any pictures of the boat but will get some tomorrow (it's night time here is Australia). But a got a picture of the shaft and jet unit.

You are probably right but I love jet boats for safety around the grandkids. Had a J52 Hamilton Jet Boat with a 3 stage Hamilton jet many years ago. So will preserve with this even if I have to sort a coupler for a different motor. There are very few of the Regal Rush in Australia so finding parts is very difficult. I appreciate your suggestions.
