"Looking to purchase a larger boat. Motor runs good and does not overheat but the only way you can make it pee is pressing on the pee hole, I'm guessing there's a check valve in there? You press it and starts peeing you let go and it stops."

"I have the same motor...1996 200 Evinrude....essentially the same. You can remove the plastic nut which holds the pee hole fitting to the mounting area at the back of the engine. Then clean it as jwb says. There is a rubber washer in there, so be careful not to lose it. It is a very simple procedure. Reassemble, and locate the pee hole fitting so it points the direction you want it to point, then tighten the plastic nut snug. If you want, you can run the engine with that fitting removed to flush out anything large that may get caught in the small pee hole. You can even hook a hose there and back flush the engine."
