What the going price is for a 1996 honda 50hp 4stroke. I found one but the guy is asking 2200 is that too much for a 1996 ?

It all depends on what kind of shape and how many hours ?
Since it won't have an hour meter, it will be hardtop tell latter..
check the lower unit an crankcase oil for clarity.
1500 - 2000$ would be reasonable.
