1996 Formula 252 BR - anti-syphon valve location

An anti-siphon valve is typically installed at top top of the fuel tank’s pick-up tube fitting..... usually a 90* fitting!

The pick-up tube may be equipped with a screen on the bottom. You may want to remove this tube and inspect the screen as well.

.

Look at where the fuel is drawn from the tank. There's a fitting or two there, one of which is the anti-syphon valve.

on it! unfortunately the boat is kept 2.5 hours away, so its not quite as easy as walking outside and checking.

just trying to think of what else would keep the RPM's from climbing above 3600 RPM, and i don't think its an ignition component, unless the timing has someone slipped or isn't advnacing.

Below a plastic plate ...replacing this year as part of service to the boat, opened it up for the service guys. plate screws were tough, finger tips with small 4" Philips

i did, Sandkicker. replaced that last weekend, along with spark plugs.

will probably do fuel lines, anti-syphon valve this weekend.

if that doesn't remedy the issue, i think its the carb, and will have a mechanic at the lake come take a look.

i know on our previous cobalt, i feel like you could really hear the second set of carbs come in when you got above 3400 or so, and I don't hear that on this boat. but it could just be me.

Ayuh,..... To rule out the supply from the tank,.....

Just hook up a remote tank of clean fresh gas to the fuel filter's hose barb,.....
