1996 Evinrude motor

Recently had motor worked on as it runs fine but if you stop to fish, etc. it won't start up again. After about 1 hour or when it seems to cool down it will start again. So far the repair shop replaced the impeller, spark plugs, did a basic cleaning but this did not happen in shop. So as long as you don't stop it you are fine. What could this be?

What is the model # of your " belchfire 96 motor "------------they are not all the same.

Have more info on motor. It is a 1994 Evinrude 15 hp motor. Model # E15RERE Will run fine, high speed, low speed, etc. but cannot turn it off or it will not restart until it totally cools off (seems like this). Repairman replaced impeller, spark plugs, shift rod connector, cleaned the carb. , installed new cam follower.
