I'm new in the sailing and I have 96 evinrude 4 stroke (9.9hp). I have a bunch of questions:
1- Do I have to loosen the fuel tank cap when I'm running the engine?
2-Fuel is leaking out of air intake and carb area; then the motor dies if I run it on idle speed in or out of gear (simply it floods). I'm going to rebuild the carb but should I check the fuel pump as well? Could it be something else?
3- Im not sure if the motor's alternator charges the battery. Could it be the battery not holding the charge or should I check the alternator?
4-How can I keep the motor in position so it won't swing when waves or wakes hits it?
