I installed my water pump kit like normal, tested it and it pumped water great for about 30 seconds then quit. So I took it apart again to see what happened and the plastic keyway had sheered. I reinstalled the old one but I have never had this happen and I could swear the keys used to be metal. I am a bit concerned to take it out now and have a repeat...which would be much worse. It runs fine again. Any suggestions as to what may have happened?
